What We Do
EngageMN unites young people, schools, districts, governments, businesses, and higher education institutions across Minnesota to foster greater collaboration and innovation in education.
By aligning projects and initiatives, we enhance our collective reach, influence, and credibility while improving efficiency. Together, through shared expertise and resources, our partners create opportunities to accelerate systemic change toward more innovative and equitable learning environments.

Student-centered learning empowers all students to grow based on their individual needs, interests, and mastery of skills and knowledge. Rather than relying on seat time, these approaches support students in advancing at their own pace, receiving targeted support, and engaging in relevant learning experiences.
There’s growing excitement for student-centered learning across Minnesota. However, efforts remain fragmented across different schools, organizations, and nonprofits. Without statewide coordination, it’s difficult to translate enthusiasm into meaningful policy and practice changes. That’s why EngageMN, with support from KnowledgeWorks, is leading a unified movement to test, implement, and scale student-centered learning practices that ensure all Minnesota students thrive.
